Artist

Aaron Draplin

Pennys last lecture, she showed us a presentation as a final farewell sorta thing that focused on what the world of graphic design is like. Within the presentation, she talked a little about DDC studios (Draplin design co.) and showed us a short video from Aaron Draplin. The video really spoke to me as he talked about how important and fun idea generation is. He spoke about his company and how he loves working for him self, but mainly, he spoke about how he enjoys using // filling up sketchbooks (like me). With that he showed his custom sketchbooks he calls Field Notes that he sells on his shop and how he uses them for every day life for things that inspire him.

Looking into him, I think he's a great sort of role model to look to as he successfully In what he dose and enjoys doing it. I feel like my self branding would benefit by taking a page out of his book and create my own pocket sketchbooks that I can keep on my self / use for individual projects. I especially like the simple design they have and the fact that there easily reproduced
